KATHMANDU, Jan 4: The Federal Alliance (FA) has concluded that the confusion over the constitution amendment has been cleared following the ruling by the Supreme Court (SC).

Saying that the apex court has cleared path for the government to take the amendment bill forward into the House, a meeting of the Alliance held on Wednesday decided to support the bill after revision.

“The court’s decision has facilitated the government to take forward the bill into parliament,” said General Secretary of Madhes Samajwadi Party, Keshav Jha.

According to Secretary of Tharuhat Tarai Party, Minraj Chaudhary, the meeting also decided to hold protest programs through federal and sister organizations to caution the government from withdrawing the bill.
