BIRATNAGAR, Feb 1: The provincial government is preparing to split the existing ministries in Province 1 into 12 ministries. Sunday's cabinet meeting decided to split the existing seven ministries into 12.
According to a source, the cabinet meeting decided to split the ministries. The source added that the provincial government has decided to split the ministries into 12 and the physical management of the offices has already started. Sources have claimed that the decoration of new ministry buildings has already started.
Although the government has already started the work of preparing the physical infrastructure by deciding to add ministries, the decision to add ministries has not been made public yet. The government of Province 1 is preparing to appoint 5 ministers and 3 ministers of state by creating 5 new ministries.
Announcing the decision of the Council of Ministers, Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Indra Bahadur Angbo said that a task force has been formed under the coordination of Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Kedar Karki for land management to create administrative structures. Chiefs of Biratnagar, Katahari, Gramthan, Budhiganga, Duhabi, Itahari and Sundarharaicha municipalities will be members of the task force.
