KATHMANDU, July 4: The local administrations in the Kathmandu Valley have decided to allow all physical examinations suspended owing to the second wave of the COVID-19.

A joint meeting of the chief district officers (CDOs) of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts in the Valley decided that all the pre-scheduled examinations with physical presence of the examinees will be allowed to be held from Tuesday.

Each examination hall should not have more than 25 examinees, reads the order issued by Kathmandu CDO Kali Prasad Parajuli. Similarly, the bodies concerned and examinees are also required to abide by the COVID-19 protocol issued by the government.

Most university examinations, competitive exams conducted by the Public Service Commission and other examinations were suspended as the second wave of the coronavirus started sweeping the country from mid-April earlier this year.
