Ex-PM Shrestha in ICU

DANG, Aug 12 : Former Prime Minister Marich Man Singh Shrestha, who is suffering from lung cancer, is now under treatment at Vedant Hospital in New Delhi.

Shreshtha, who is currently being treated at the Intensive Care Unit, has not witnessed any significant improvement, family sources said. [break]



Talking to Republica, a family member said, “The per day treatment cost is around 50,000 Indian rupees and the family is facing funds crunch. Family members have urged the government, I/NGOs and other concerned authorities to provide financial support for Shrestha´s further treatment.

Shrestha became prime minister of Nepal in 1985.
