Issuing a press statement on Sunday, Khanal expressed that he will also vote in favor of Deuba. He also urged the parliamentary party members of CPN-UML to vote in favour of PM Deuba ‘without any confusion and outrage’.

The newly-appointed PM Deuba is scheduled to take a vote of confidence later this evening.

Meanwhile, the CPN (Maoist center) has already announced to vote in favor of PM Deuba while the main opposition party CPN-UML has decided to vote against the confidence motion.

A Standing Committee meeting of UML held at Chyasal, Kathmandu decided not to support PM Deuba at any cost and maintained that those who opt to vote in favor of the motion will no longer remain in the party.
