A day earlier, the former monarch, who had arrived in Dhangadi on an aircraft from Kathmandu on Thursday, had visited the Siddhababa temple in Mahendranagar.
Shah, who is staying at the Rubas Hotel in Dhangadi, is scheduled to offer prayers at the Ghodaghodi temple on Sunday before returning to Kathmandu on Monday.
His five-day tour, which has been described as purely a religious trip, comes at a time when uncertainty is looming large about timely promulgation of the new constitution, with only less than two months now remaining for the May 27 deadline to expire.
