Ex-fighters returning to camp in Chitwan

CHITWAN (Ratnanagar), Nov 18: Ex-combatants on home leave have started returning to camps with the process of combatants’ regrouping coming into action.



The combatants in the Unified CPN (Maoist)’s Third Division in Shaktikhor of Chitwan are returning to the cantonment, according to the Division sources. [break]



More than 50 ex-fighters, who were on home leave for the past few days, have come back to the camp while some are returning today, the Division further informed.



Though 12 per cent of the total combatants could only stay on leave according to the rule, the combatants who have long been on home leave beyond the regulation have started returning to the cantonment.



All the combatants on home leave will come back to the camp till this evening, said Janak Bista of the Division.



Meanwhile, the technical team led by Secretariat Coordinator under the Army Integration Special Committee (AISC), Balananda Sharma has started distributing forms to the combatants under the regrouping process today.



The forms have been distributed to collect their personal details and the specific task will begin from tomorrow morning, Sharma informed.



A forty-member team headed by Sharma has arrived here. There are 3,972 ex-combatants in Shaktikhor of Chitwan.
