A team of police led by DSP Rewati Dhakal arrested Madan Murm aka ´Sagar´ and Pradip Puri. [break]
Police recovered a 9MM pistol, an Italian pistol, two sets of magazines, motorbike and a blood stained pan used in the murder.
Earlier, police had arrested Suresh´s business partner Pramod Kumar Mandal on the charge of his involvement in the killing. According to the police Mandal had masterminded the murder.
Police said personal animosity was the motive behind the murder.
Suresh Kumar Mandal, who owned a medical store at Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar, was shot dead on Tuesday.
According to the police, Madan had used two pistols in the murder. It has also been disclosed that he had procured the pistols from India. Pradip had assisted Madan by giving the latter pillion ride on his motorbike.
Madan was a militia commander in Sunsari, Jhapa and Morang during armed insurgency. Police said Pradip is the Maoist´s village level member and runs a medical store at Amardaha.
While recording his statement before the police, Pramod admitted that he murdered Suresh to take revenge.
"Suresh disgraced me time and again. I had been plotting to kill him for long," SP Dipak Kumar Thapa quoted Pramod as saying to the police.
Pramod also confessed that he had asked for Pradip´s help as he alone couldn´t pull off the murder. He had promised Pradip a sum of Rs 500,000 after the murder of Suresh.
Suresh, a resident of Rangeli-5, Biratnagar and Pramod were partners in medicine business. However, Suresh had broken the partnership with Pramod following a dispute over the business transactions.
