“Credible, transparent and inclusive elections are vital to meeting the rights and aspirations of the people; to reviving Nepal´s democratic institutions; to finalizing a new constitution; and to securing a lasting peace," she said in the statement.
The country´s four key political forces --UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, and United Democratic Madhesi Front -- on Wednesday agreed to form an Election Council under chief justice Regmi. Along with Regmi, two other cabinet members have already been sworn in on Thursday.
