EU team to visit Nepal to conduct a safety audit on air ban list

KATHMANDU, July 31: A team from the European Union (EU), which has placed Nepal on the air ban list since 2013, is going to visit Nepal to conduct a safety audit.

KATHMANDU, July 31: A team from the European Union (EU), which has placed Nepal on the air ban list since 2013, is going to visit Nepal to conduct a safety audit.


Pradeep Adhikari, director general of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) said that there is a correspondence from the EU that they will soon visit Nepal for a safety audit. According to him, such correspondence was received on Friday and this is a great opportunity for Nepal.

Similarly, he mentioned that the EU is ready to come to Nepal for an audit without conditions, and they will present Nepal with maximum preparation.


Earlier this year, in the evaluation of the International Civil Aviation Organization, Nepal achieved better results than the average and this will help during the safety audit of the EU as well, he said.
