KATHMANDU, May 25: Etihad Airways has taken delivery of its 10th and final Airbus A380.
Issuing a statement, the airline company said that the aircraft was officially handed over to Etihad Airways at the European plane-maker’s Hamburg Finkenwerder plant in Germany, before commencing flight to Abu Dhabi.
“The A380 -- the award-winning double-decker -- is the most customized aircraft in commercial service,” the statement said, adding that the aircraft has unique features such as residence -- a three-room living space for up to two guests, 70 business studios, a lobby lounge, and 415 economy smart seats.
The airline operates its fleet of Airbus A380s on flight from the Abu Dhabi to London, Sydney and New York. Paris is joining Etihad’s Airbus A380 network from July 1, according to the statement.
