Essential drugs free from district hospitals from Wednesday

KATHMANDU, Jan 11: The Ministry of Health and Population will provide 40 essential drugs free from district hospitals from Wednesday.



Speaking at a press meet at the ministry Sunday Giri Raj Mani Pokhrel, minister for health, made such announcement. He also said that the number of medicines provided free from sub-health posts has been increased from 22 to 25 and the number of essential drugs provided free from health posts has been increased from 32 to 35. The provision of distributing free medicine started about a year ago with the aim to provide free health facilities at government health institutions.
