KATHMANDU, Aug 15: The eminent persons' group (EPG) formed to study entire gamut of Nepal-India relations and make recommendations to the government has said the joint team has prepared the report within the mandated period and was waiting for the date of appointment from respective heads of governments to submit the report.
The term of the EPG had expired on July 3.
India must own up EPG report: Minister
The EPG, in a press statement, said following the understanding of joint team, the content of the report was yet to be made public.
"News, comments and reports, whatever has been appeared in different Nepali and Indian media in the past are purely based on speculation and partial understanding of the subject from the past history of some of the issues those were under public discussion," the press note said adding that EPG was not therefore responsible for many media comments and remarks on the works of the EPG.
The media are also requested to wait till the submission of the report to the heads of the governments of Nepal and India.
