KATHMANDU, Dec 11: Nepal's ambassador to Australia Lucky Sherpa on Monday furnished her clarification before a team formed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) to investigate into the authenticity of allegation of human trafficking made against her.
Ambassador Sherpa, who arrived in Kathmandu after the MoFA asked her to report to the ministry, had reached to the Ministry on Monday to clarify her position on the allegation made by her former driver at the embassy. “The ministry summoned her to inquire about the allegation. We will take necessary action once the facts surrounding the allegations are ascertained first,” said MoFA Deputy Spokesperson Ram Babu Dhakal.
Earlier, the MoFA had formed a three-member panel comprising of joint secretaries to probe into the allegation and make recommendations for necessary action.
