Engineers mobilized to assess quake damage

KATHMANDU, May 2: Nepal Engineers Association has mobilized 300 engineers to assess damages of the buildings caused by massive earthquake and aftershocks.

The Association mobilized the engineers on different teams in the capital city today. It is for first phase and would be continued in other quake hit districts like Dhading, Rasuwa Nuwakot, Sindhupalchowk, Kavrepalanchowk and Gorkha from tomorrow.


The team is inspecting the damages of private and public buildings, offices, hospital, schools and colleges, it is learnt.

Association Chairman Dhruba Raj Thapa said that the engineers would also suggest people whether they could live in the houses/buildings. RSS
