Employees demand salary hike

Kathmandu, June 11: Nepal National Employees´ Federation has demanded the government to hike the salary of the employees considering inflation.



Organizing a press conference in the Capital today, the Federation said revival of government corporations afflicted with managerial incompetence and unnecessary political interference was essential need. [break]



At the press meet organized to make public the proposal the second convention passed recently, the Federation Chairman Mohan Man Swar said policy change was another need to make the government employees pro-public and ensure their rights.



Similarly, general secretary of the Federation, Janardan Babu Kattel, demanded the increase in salary and allowance to the civil servants, considering inflation, increase in tax ceiling, and guarantee of security and allowances to all professionals to minimize the gap between the civil service and other profession.



Also, the Federation urged the government to announce the date of the Constituent Assembly election based on a political agreement.



The Federation has elected 65 member new working committee from its recent convention held in Kathmandu. RSS
