Election Process for Vice-President begins Friday

KATHMANDU, Oct 29: The election process for the post of Vice-President is beginning on Friday.

According to the Legislature-Parliament Secretariat, the political parties are given time from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm to file candidacies for the post.For the post, UCPN (Maoist) has already announced the candidacy of standing committee member Nanda Bahadur Pun while the main opposition Nepali Congress has Amiya Kumar Yadav to field for the post.

As per the election schedule, the Secretariat will publish the name of the candidates at 1:30 pm, while the final list of candidates at 3:00 pm.

The voting for the post will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday.

Similarly, the vote count will begin at 2:30 pm and the result be announced in the Legislature-Parliament meeting at around 5:00 pm. RSS
