‘Elected representatives should disseminate factual information’

KATHMANDU, Nov 8: Chairman of National Assembly (NA) Ganesh Timilsina said that the public could be alerted by disseminating true information from the people’s representatives.

KATHMANDU, Nov 8: Chairman of National Assembly (NA) Ganesh Timilsina said that the public could be alerted by disseminating true information from the people’s representatives.



Referring to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and its challenges on Sunday, Chairman Timilsina said that self-awareness was an effective way for precautions adding that the medicines and vaccines for the diseases are yet to be invented.

He also called for following health protocol to be safe from the pandemic.  


Speaking at the program organized by Karnali Province Assembly on the effective role of parliamentarians for awareness generation to the people about the COVID-19 pandemic, Timilsina urged one and all to be self-aware.


Karnali Province Assembly Speaker Raj Bahadur Shahi stated that the impacts of the ongoing pandemic should be taken as lessons for future. 


Likewise, Disaster and Communications expert at WHO Nepal Office Dr Sunur Verma and Health Service Director Dr Ravin Khadka presented their working papers over the issue.
