KATHMANDU, Nov 17 : The Election Commission (EC) has urged all to follow the election code of conduct in view of by-election. The by-election for various vacant posts in the federal, provincial and local level is slated for November 30.
The EC has further urged the concerned sides not to conduct different programmes and plans to influence the election. The EC issued a press release urging all sides concerned to not implement local infrastructure development partnership programme 2076/77BS in the district where by-election is taking place. Allocation of additional budget, selection of new programme, laying foundation stone and inaugurating programmes would be against the election code of conduct, adds the release.
