Executive Director of the Election Education and Information Centre Komal Dhamala said of the trainings, some have been completed, some are ongoing and some are planned and informed that some 300,000 people will need training for election.
EC Spokesman Bir Bahadur Rai told RSS that Rs. 2.5 million has been spent for production of training materials and printing.
Rs. 7.75 billion is in the Peace Fund for the election purpose of which Rs. 4.75 billion comes from donor bodies and Rs. 4 billion from the Government of Nepal. It has also spent Rs. 37.8 million for information and dissemination, Rs. 65.7 million in election material purchase, he said.
The EC has connected activities of all the 1,017 polling booths in GIS system and linked all the 240 election offices in modern information network.
The EC is cooperated by Japan, China, UNDP and European Union for making its technology capable.
Rai also informed that Rs. 81.8 million has been given to all constituencies as advance and Rs. 90 million for District Election Offices.
All staffs assigned in election have been insured of Rs. 1.5 million. There are some 400,000 manpower deputed for the election including security personnel. For ballot printing Rs. 10 million has been spent so far, he said.
