KATHMANDU, May 28: An earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale hit Sindhupalchowk today.
According to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center Lainchaur, an earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale occurred today at 1:19 PM with its epicenter around Golche in Sindhupalchowk.
Earlier on May 24, an earthquake of magnitude 4.5 took place around Daulichaur in Bajhang.
Lately, small earthquakes have been continuously occurring in the eastern and western regions of Nepal. The mountainous and hilly areas of Nepal are considered as seismic hazard zones.
