KATHMANDU, Sept 12: An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale has triggered eastern Nepal on Wednesday morning.
The tremor was felt at around 10:40 am in entire eastern districts of the country for about 30 seconds according to the report.
According to the USGS, the epicenter of the earthquake was Sapatgram, Assam. People in the northeast Indian states including West Bengal and Meghalaya experienced the shaking of the ground. The tremor was felt as far as in Bangladesh and Bhutan.
