As per the count as of 4 pm today, of the total casualties, Kathmandu Valley accounted for 1,731 deaths, the eastern region 58, the central region 6,412, the western region 451 and the mid-western region two.
Likewise, the number of injured in Kathmandu Valley stands at 12,983, the eastern region 454, the central region 7,231, the western region 1,347, the mid-western region 36 and the far-western region two.
According to the Nepal Police, the bodies of 8,617 people have been handed over to their families. Of the total injured, 4954 are undergoing treatment. RSS
