NEPALGUNJ, Aug 31: A dry port is going to be constructed as an international trade and transit centre at the border area of Banke district as per Nepal-India agreement.

As agreement was signed nine years ago between the two countries, now mapping works are begun by acquiring 90.8 bighas of land for the construction. Land has been acquired in Jayaspur and Saigaun villages west of Nepalgunj Customs, the District Administration Office (DAO) said, and one third budget has been allocated for its protection.
