DRI seeks to recover Rs 365 million from four individuals accused of evading govt revenue

KATHMANDU, Feb 5: The Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) has filed cases against four individuals on charge of revenue leakage, seeking to recover Rs 365.56 million.


According to the DRI, Chandra Bahadur Adhikari, Proprietor of Bring Media Distribution Pvt. Ltd and two officials Suman Chhetri and Surendra Chhetri from the same organization are among the accused persons.

An Indian citizen Anjali Arora, who is an authorized distributor of Star India Pvt. Ltd, India and proprietor Jupiter Media Pvt. Ltd, was also grilled by the tax investigation authority.


They have been accused of maintaining a fake transaction record to evade taxes worth Rs 182.78 million. The DRI filed cases against the accused at the High Court, Patan on Tuesday.
