Draft of new statute is discriminatory: Chairman Yadav

POKHARA, July 4: Chairman of the Federal Socialist Forum, Nepal, Upendra Yadav, has said that the draft of the new constitution presented in the Constituent Assembly (CA) was torn down as many issues incorporated in it were discriminatory.

At a news conference organized by the Federal Press Union, Kaski, here Saturday, Chairman Yadav expressed the view that the draft of the new constitution has bypassed the previous agreements and it would take the country toward a wrong path.


He also accused the leaders of four major political parties of adopting a wrong method to meet their interest by betraying the people in the name of promulgating the new constitution through fast track.

Chairman Yadav further said that the new statute promulgated through a majority process would not be acceptable to the people adding that his party would launch street protest against it. RSS
