Renowned Ophthalmologist Dr Sanduk Ruit's biography ‘Sanduk Ruit’ is all set to get released on September 28 in Kathmandu as per a press statement released by FinePrint.
Australian Journalist Ali Gripper is the original writer of the book which has been translated in Nepali by litterateur Khagendra Sangraula.
Dr Ruit’s book on his life launched
The biography is about the inspirational story of Dr Ruit who has been instilling vision to over 100,000 needy cataract patients at a reasonable cost.
Quoting the recipient of prestigious awards like Magsaysay Award and Padma Bhushan, Dr Ruit it stated, “I’m extremely pleased that the English version of my biography is being translated into Nepali. If this book will inspire someone to do charity, I will feel that my life is meaningful.”
Translator Khagendra Sangraula too expressed his happiness about translating the book about Dr Sanduk’s life. Australian publication house Allen & Unwin has published the book in English. Later, FinePrint gained translation rights and published it in Nepali.
The price of the book is Rs 550.
