Renowned Ophthalmologist Dr Sanduk Ruit released his biography ‘Sanduk Ruit’. Top Bahadur Sharma launched the book amid a special event held in the capital on Saturday. Sharma was visibly impaired for 21 years and got his vision back after a successful operation by Dr Ruit.
Penned by Australian Journalist Ali Gripper, the book is translated in Nepali by famous Nepali writer and Litterateur Khagendra Sangraula. Speaking at the event Sharma lauded Dr Ruit remembering his 21 years long life without vision. “Though I faced numerous hurdles in my initial phase, my life changed after meeting Dr Ruit. I am feeling glad to launch his biography” said Sharma.

Similarly, CEO of Tilganga Eye Hospital, Dr Rita Gurung said that she has been working with Dr Ruit from the beginning of her career. She further informed that she agreed to assist him seeing his dedication to his work, when he first approached her. “Dr Ruit has not just given me work, he has given me that motivation to involve in social and welfare work,” said Gurung.
Similarly, DR Ruit expressed his life’s journey, familial situation, achievement, and his struggle at Tilganga Eye Hospital. Ruit said, “I am happy to see my biography in Nepali, I would be even more happy if my life story inspired someone to involve in social work.”
Dr Ruit’s Biography includes a detailed story about how he managed to provide vision to millions of visibly impaired people.
