KATHMANDU, Jan 22: The government has appointed Dr Navraj Adhikari as the acting chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).
After Ramesh Hamal retired as chairman, the board was without leadership. Daily operations were affected as the responsibility of chairman was not assigned to anyone.
The ministry sent a letter on Sunday and assigned the responsibility of the board's executive director Adhikari to run the daily work until further arrangements.
Dr Adhikari will continue with the day-to-day administration work and convening board meetings. He will handle all the regular process work of the SEBON except the policy ones.
