KATHMANDU, March 24: Executive Director at the TU Teaching Hospital, Bhagwan Koirala, who resigned from the post over non-cooperation from the staffs and government, returned to the Hospital on Sunday after the Chairman of the Council of Ministers assured him of assistance from the government.

Dr Koirala returned the Hospital and took the responsibility after Chairman of Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi made commitment that government would provide Rs 120 million needed for the smoothing functioning of the Hospital.

He said he joined the Hospital again by respecting the suggestions and pressures from different sides to take the responsibility. Dr Koirala was welcomed by the Hospital doctors and employees.

Speaking briefly upon his welcome at the Hospital, he said he would now get cooperation and support from all sides. He further said he was devoted to make the TU Teaching Hospital the hospital for people.

Dr Koirala had quit the job a month back, reasoning there was no environment to work with financial crunch and non-cooperation by the hospital staff and government.

However, his resignation was not accepted.
