KATHMANDU, May 4: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi has withdrawn his resignation on Thursday following a meeting held at Baluwatar.
NC president Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nidhi had attended the meeting.
He had tendered his resignation on April 30 expressing his dissatisfaction with the government's unprecedented move to impeach Chief Justice Shushila Karki.
Nepali Congress had refused to accept the resignation letter tendered by Nidhi, Deuba’s Personal Assistant Keshabraj Joshi told Republica Online.
Nidhi will resume his responsibility as DPM and Home Minister from today.
At the meeting of current and former office bearers of Nepali Congress held on Wednesday, the participants had urged Nidhi to withdraw his resignation citing that it was not right time to tender resignation.
