According to a press statement issued by the company, the campaign started on January 29 with a call for entries inviting all women to submit their photograph. "The campaign has already received a huge volume of participants and several hundred more are expected by the end of the submission deadline i.e. February 28."
At the end of the campaign, the company will select 12 women who embody the spirit of the Dove Women: happy, confident and self-assured. These 12 women will be featured in the Dove´s calendar for the year 2070 BS as a celebration of their confidence and a reminder to every woman that beauty comes in many forms, the statement said.
“The campaign aims to initiate a discussion around beauty and people´s expectations and perceptions of what ´Beauty´ is.
The campaign is aimed at women of all ages who feel pressurized to ´fit´ into a public perception of beauty and forget to celebrate what is beautiful about them,” Shamim Zaman, marketing manager of Unilever Nepal, said in the statement.
