'Double-digit economic growth if domestic investment friendly environment prevails'

PARASI, Nov 12: Acting Chairperson of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar said the country will witness double-digit economic growth if the government makes domestic investment-friendly environment.



Inaugurating the 30th annual general meeting and 12th district convention of FNCCI, Nawalparasi in district headquarter Parasi on Friday, he said the state should create congenial atmosphere for the promotion of domestic investment as mere inflow of foreign investment does not make the national economy strong. Addressing the inaugural session, Vice-chairperson of FNCCI, Butwal Chapter Krishna Kumar Shrestha said the government should provide land for the establishment of industries with the signing of BIPPA.



FNCCI, Gandaki zonal representative Chop Narayan Shrestha said the state should encourage private sector to boost investment by making favorable environment.



Meanwhile, the convention has unanimously elected Baijanath Jaiswal the chair of FNCCI, Nawalparasi Chapter for another term.
