KATHMANDU, Feb 1: Chief Justice Gopal Parajuli has said that there was no need to run after rumors spread by people with vested interests.
Addressing a function organized in Birgunj Wednesday, Chief Justice Parajuli said there are people of different kinds in society including those who want to make noise, pull others' legs and work for their petty interests.

"There is no need to run after the rumors spread by such people. They may pull others' legs, they may think that they need to show their standing and that whatever they say has to happen, but they cannot affect those who adhere to the rule of law," he said.
Stating that he does not fear anyone as he always works in an impartial manner, Chief Justice Parajuli said no one can affect his impartiality and professional integrity. "As someone always working in an impartial manner, there is no need to fear anyone," he said.
On the occasion, Parajuli asked the judicial committees of local level units to work in an impartial manner while dispensing justice. He had reached Birgunj to inaugurate a two-day function on the role of local judicial committees for ensuring access to justice.
