A meeting of the 10 small parties held at the parliamentary party office of Nepal Family Party at Singha Durbar made the request objecting to the decision of the big three parties not to include them while reaching three-point deal on Friday. [break]
The meeting was attended by Madhesi People´s Rights Forum (Democratic), Tarai Madhes Democratic Party, CPN-ML, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Rastriya Janashakti Party, Chure Bhawar Rastriya Ekata Party, CPN (United), Dalit Janajati Party and Socialist Democratic People´s Party.
According to a press statement, the meeting stressed the need to implement the three-point agreement reached among the big three parties while taking positively the deal that paved way for extension of the term of the Constituent Assembly.
The small parties have decided to hold an interaction on Wednesday at Constituent Assembly building with the leaders of big three parties to develop common understanding and interpretation of the Friday´s three-point deal.
The meeting concluded that Prime Minister Madhav Nepal should resign only after the parties reach a package deal to address various contentious issues including the management of the Maoists arms and combatants, return of the seized properties, disbanding of paramilitary structure of the Young Communist League.
The meeting also stressed the need to form national consensus government to help take the ongoing peace process to a logical end and promulgate new constitution within the extended term of the CA.
