KATHMANDU, Feb 11: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has claimed that the CPN-UML will secure majority seats in all three-tier elections.
Speaking at the inauguration of the 'Local Level Election Training and Orientation' program on Friday, Chairman Oli said that his party would bring majority seats even if they contest the election alone with the five-party ruling coalition. "The dominance of UML is disturbing them. We will secure majority seats in the upcoming elections. What will they do?” he asked.
“If there is a place to escape, find it. We will also bring a majority in the coming federal and provincial elections,” he further said.
Stating that the ruling coalition is scared of election as UML is still dominant and the government was compelled to announce the election only due to pressure from the CPN-UML, the intellectual sector and the media. "We will not allow anyone to run away from the election. Do not dream of winning the election by tearing the ballot papers and turning off the lights," he further said.
