Dollar depreciates

The US dollar has depreciated, with Nepal Rastra Bank setting its buying rate at Rs 135.91 and selling rate at Rs 136.51 for today. On Monday, the buying rate was Rs 136.30 and the selling rate was Rs 136.90.

KATHMANDU, April 22:  The US dollar has depreciated, with Nepal Rastra Bank setting its buying rate at Rs 135.91 and selling rate at Rs 136.51 for today. On Monday, the buying rate was Rs 136.30 and the selling rate was Rs 136.90. 


The bank has fixed the buying rate for one euro at Rs 156.70 and the selling rate at Rs 157.39. Similarly, one UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 181.93 and sold at Rs 182.73. The buying rate for one Swiss franc stands at Rs 168.45 and the selling rate at Rs 169.19.


One Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 87.27 and sold at Rs 87.66, while the Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 98.39 and sold at Rs 98.73. The exchange rate for one Singapore dollar is Rs 104.21 (buying) and Rs 104.67 (selling).

For Asian currencies, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.65, with the selling rate at Rs 9.69. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 18.64 and sold at Rs 18.73. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 36.23 and a selling rate of Rs 36.39, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 37.28 (buying) and Rs 37.45 (selling).


The central bank has fixed the exchange rate for one Thai baht at Rs 4.11 (buying) and Rs 4.12 (selling). One UAE dirham is being bought at Rs 37.00 and sold at Rs 37.17, while the Malaysian ringgit is valued at Rs 31.10 (buying) and Rs 31.24 (selling). The South Korean won per 100 units is being bought at Rs 9.57 and sold at Rs 9.62. The Swedish krona has a buying rate of Rs 14.30 and a selling rate of Rs 14.36, while the Danish krone is being bought at Rs 20.99 and sold at Rs 21.08.


Similarly, the Hong Kong dollar has a buying rate of Rs 17.51 ​​and a selling rate of Rs 17.59. One Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 444.06 and sold at Rs 446.02. The buying and selling rates for one Bahraini dinar are Rs 360.57 and Rs 362.16, respectively. The exchange rate for one Omani rial is Rs 353.02 (buying) and Rs 354.58 (selling).


For the Indian currency, the buying rate for INR 100 is Rs 160.00, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.


Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that it may revise these exchange rates at any time as needed. The exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the updated rates are available on the central bank's website.
