BHAKTAPUR, April 12: The Department of Education (DoE) has issued directives for initiating action against schools flouting the government´s instructions and selling books with stickers pasted on their price labels.

The DoE had issued written instructions to schools and the District Education Offices across the country not to sell the school textbooks from the school premises and to the book sellers not to sell the books by tampering on their price labels.

However, the DoE issued this directive after it was found that several schools were disobeying the Department´s instructions and selling books on their own by tampering with the price tag by taking hefty amount in commission.
