According, to Tika Bahadur Thapa, account officer at DoC, Sandip Store has not renewed the license for operating the store and was selling the gas without permission. Likewise, Smriti General Store was found selling gas without signboard and did not have the price menu board.[break]
“We have asked both the stores to correct their mistakes and present the proof at the department within 3 days,” said Thapa.
Similarly, the team on Thursday inspected three groceries located at Sangam Chowk and Subhidhanagar.
The team inspected Pari Enterprises at Sangam Chowk, Ayush General Stores and Biller´s General Stores at Subhidhanagar. According to Shankar Prasad Poudel, director of DoC, the team found that Pari Enterprises was selling old rice by packing it in the sack of different brand names and making it look like a new one.
The team instructed the proprietor of Pari Enterprises to present themselves at DoC within 3 days with clarification.
Likewise, Ayush General Stores was found to have expanded the business without expansion permission from the concerned authority. Hence, the team instructed the owner to add the expansion in the business registration certificate and present the proof of expansion at the department within 7 days. The team also asked the owner to keep the price menu board at the store.
The inspection team instructed Biller´s General Store to keep the price menu board at the store within 7 days and also asked to provide the bill to the customers for the purchases. The store was selling the goods without providing receipt.
