Dissident parties hold chakka jam at Kantipath

KATHMANDU, May 3: Dissident political parities including CPN-Maoist who have been protesting the formation of incumbent election government, enforced two–hour chakka jam at Kantipath, in front of the office of Election Commission(EC), in the capital on Friday morning.



The alliance of various parties enforced the chakka jam from 9 am to 11 am demanding the postponement of the party registration process at EC till the 11-point agreement that led to the formation of the interim government and the 25-point proposal for amendment to the Interim Constitution, be scrapped.



The EC had begun registration of political parties from Tuesday for new Constituent Assembly elections.The alliance, who has been protesting the formation of  the incumbent government,  has been demanding the formation of a government under political leadership
