KATHMANDU, June 7: A dispute has erupted over the names of the members of the politburo formed by the CPN (Maoist Center) on Thursday.
The central committee meeting of the party has been postponed for some time after the dispute over the names of the politburo members proposed by Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda emerged.
At a meeting of the central committee held at Nepal Academy in Kamaladi on Thursday, Dahal read out the names of those included in the 125-member politburo. However, Prachanda adjourned the meeting for an hour after the leaders protested against the names that were publicized.
Dahal, mentioning that there were 23 lists of names and that such a situation had arisen after combining them, said that the standing committee would finalize the names and send a circular.
