The disgruntled group of All Nepal National Free Student Union (ANNFSU) staged relay hunger strike accusing the party authorities of axing dozens of active student leaders and depriving them of any role while forming an organizing committee to hold the student wing´s general convention.[break]
The organization was sharply divided as a group of members were holding a meeting in Pokhara while disgruntled members were staging relay hunger strike at the party office in Kathmandu.
Khanal sent a letter to the student organization, in-charge of the party´s student department and other concerned departments urging them to settle the issue at the earliest.
“We have decided to break the hunger strike as the party chairman committed in writing to address our concerns soon," said Sudhir Kumar Sah.
