Discos and entertainment venues in Pokhara to operate round the clock from today

KATHMANDU, March 17: Starting from this evening, businesses including discos, dohori venues, and live music venues in Pokhara will remain open all night.

The announcement was made by the Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Surendra Raj Pandey, during an event organized to declare Pokhara as the tourism capital of Nepal on Sunday.

He said that bars, restaurants, spas, grocery stores, and snacks shops in areas like Lakeside, Prithvi Chowk, Mahendrapul, and Chipledhunga in Pokhara will operate without interruption until one o'clock in the morning, following certain standards to be implemented from tonight.

Furthermore, he pledged to facilitate the operation of trekking trails around the Phewa Lake in the future. He also announced plans for the introduction of a cruise ship on Begnas Lake.

Additionally, the chief minister revealed plans for the construction of a modern terminal bus park in Pokhara and the establishment of a large meditation center in the city.

He further committed to operate a shuttle bus service from Pokhara Regional International Airport to Prithvi Chowk.
