DHANKUTA, Oct 10: Combatants of People´s Liberation Army (PLA) disqualified by the United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) will be discharged from Sunday, said Peace Minister Rakam Chemjong. [break]

The discharge process will begin from the Dudhauli-based PLA camp in Sindhuli district, he said while speaking at a programme organised in Dhankuta this morning.

Referring to the special security strategy recently introduced by the government, the minister said, "This has not been brought in targeting a particular political party."

But if any party indulges in carrying weapons, taking laws in hands and tries to divide the country, then the government under the security roadmap will take action against them, he said.

While mentioning that the government will only holds talks with the parties holding a clear political agenda, Minister Chemjong said the government will not hold talks with those who in the name of politics involve in criminal activities.

The constitution drafting process is being delayed, he said. "This is all due to political parties."
