KATHMANDU, July 1: Film Director Nilu Doma Sherpa has passed away apparently due to cardiac arrest on Saturday morning.
Nilu, who was found unconscious in her own residence in Baluwatar, was whisked to TU Teaching Hospital, for treatment.
The doctor attending her pronounced her dead in the course of treatment.
Director of ‘How Funny’, a Nepali film, Nilu Doma had returned home after attending the wedding ceremony of actress Nisha Adhikari yesterday.
“She was unconscious at 2 am today. When we took her to TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj at 8 am, the doctor pronounced her dead,” Shyan Basnyat, a writer, told Republica Online. “We were working on the script of a new film.”
