Dignitaries receive Dashain tika and jamara (Photo Feature)

KATHMANDU, Sept 30 :President Bidya Devi Bhandari received Tika and Jamara at  Rastrapati Bhawan, Shital Niwas from main priest Devraj Aryal of the Hanuman Dhoka Dashain Ghar at the auspicious hour of 11:55 am today on the occasion of the Bijaya Dashami festival.

KATHMANDU, Sept 30 :President Bidya Devi Bhandari received Tika and Jamara at 

Rastrapati Bhawan, Shital Niwas from main priest Devraj Aryal of the Hanuman Dhoka Dashain Ghar at the auspicious hour of 11:55 am today on the occasion of the Bijaya Dashami festival. The main priest also presented the Head-of-the-State offerings of the goddess Nawadurga (nine manifestations of goddess Durga Bhawani). 



On the occasion, the President also offered tika to the main priest. 



President Bhandari also received tika and blessings from her mother Mithila Pandey and uncle Jayanta Pandey. The President also bestowed tika and blessings to her daughters Usha Kiran Bhandari and Nisha Kushum Bhandari, sons-in-law Umesh Thapa and Abhishek Yadav and other members of her family and relatives 


Similarly, Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun received tika and jamara on auspicious time. He offered tika and jamara to his family members and relatives.

Likewise, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba received the Dashain tika and jamara from his family priest Binod Sapkota at the auspicious time of 11:55 am today on the occasion of the Bijaya Dashami festival. 


Former Prime Ministers Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Baburam Bhattarai, NC leader Ram Chandra Poudel and other dignitaries received tika and jamara on the auspicious occasion of Bijaya Dashami.
