KATHMANDU, March 3: Different parts of the country are receiving light rainfall since this morning. 

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Nepal is currently receiving rainfall as a part of the influence of westerly winds.

According to the MFD, light rain is currently occurring at some places in Bagmati, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki provinces and a few places in Sudurpaschim province.

The MFD has forecast generally cloudy skies across the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder/lightning is anticipated in hilly areas of the Koshi region, including Sudurpaschim, Karnali, Lumbini, Gandaki, Bagmati, with scattered to light rain in other regions.

There will be light to moderate snowfall in various high hilly and mountainous areas of the country. Similarly, it will be partly to mostly cloudy over the country tonight.

Furthermore, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in few places of Koshi, Madhesh, Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces and light rain in one or two places in the rest of the land tonight. There is a possibility of light snowfall in a few places in the high hills and mountainous regions of the country.
