Dhorpatan Women’s Volleyball in January

KATHMANDU: Dhorpatan Sports Training Center is organizing the Third Dhorpatan Blue Sky Cup Women’s Volleyball Tournament in the first week of January, 2009, the center announced in a press release.



The tournament with the highest prize money in Nepali women’s volleyball will be played at the Gongabu Bus Park and offer Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively for the top three teams. The other five teams in the event will also receive Rs 10,000 as incentives.



The tournament will from January 3 to 10, 2009



Similarly, the best player of the tournament will get half tola (approx. 6 grams) of gold. The tournament to be played in round robin league format will allow only up to three players who had participated in the 10th South Asian Games held in Sri Lanka in each team.
