Dharan Mayor Sampang writes to health ministry to resolve BPKIHS row

KATHMANDU, Jan 16: Harka Sampang, the mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, has written a letter to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), demanding the issue of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) be resolved amicably.

Mayor Sampang wrote to the health ministry demanding an immediate solution to the problem that has arisen at BPKIHS.

Sampang requested the acting vice chancellor of the BPKIHS, Prahlad Karki, to appear in his office and resolve the problems raised at the BPKIHS.

The doctors and staff working at the hospital are protesting because they have not been promoted for a long time. Due to their agitation, services provided by BPKIHS have been affected.
