Dhami defeated his club-mate Suman Limbu in the U-17 boys´ singles final played at the APF headquarters in Halchowk. Dhami, who has also reached the men´s singles final, dominated the final match and clinched it 21-8, 21-15.[break]
After lifting the title, Dhami said his ultimate aim is to win the men´s singles title. "I was confident about winning the age-group final and this victory has boosted my morale. My ultimate aim is to win the men´s singles title," said Dhami. He will take on Ratnajit Tamang in the men´s singles final on Wednesday.
In the U-17 girls´ singles final, Shiksha Shrestha edged past Shreya Pradhan of Army Club 21-14, 21-16.

Meanwhile, the APF duo of Puja Shrestha and Nangsal Devi Tamang clinched the women´s doubles title as their opponents Sabina Panthi and Samjhana Khaling retired from the match in the very first set. Panthi quit the match after sustaining injury on her left ankle during the first set when Shrestha and Tamang were leading 1-0.
Panthi will play against Sara Devi Tamang of Army Club in the final of women´s singles on Wednesday.
Likewise, the APF pair of Narayan Datta Paudel and Chet Singh Thapa defeated Nepal Police Club´s Chandra Kuber Khapung and Bhupendra Khatri 24-22, 21-19 in the final of masters´ doubles under the U-35 section. In the masters´ doubles final of U-45 age group, the APF pair of Prem Shrestha and Mahesh Shrestha beat Nepal Police Club pair of Ishwar Chapagain and Govinda Bahadur Shahi 13-21, 21-16, 21-19. In the veterans´ doubles final under the above-45 age group, Rajendra Shakya and Nirman Shrestha paired up to beat the APF duo of Narayan Man Shakya and Hari Prasad Shrestha 21-19, 21-13.

Similarly, the pair of Suresh Chandra Shrestha and Jaya Ram Hamal pulled off a 21-14, 21-15 victory over the pair of Pushpa Tamrakar and Chandra Shekhar Lama in the final of veterans´ doubles in the above-55 age group.
Lawn Tennis
Pradeep Bikram Shah of Army Club clinched the men´s singles title in the inter-governmental service section during the Fifth APF Open Lawn Tennis Championship on Monday. Shah pulled off a 7-5, 6-0 victory over Durga Bahadur Kunwar of the host APF in the final.
In the veterans´ doubles final of above-55 age group, Bidur Bista and Deepak Shrestha of Kathmandu defeated Indrajit Rai and Ratna Bahadur Gurung of Kathmandu 6-4, 6-0.

Similarly, former minister Kamal Thapa beat Krishna Raj Ghale 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 to lift the veterans´ singles title in the above-45 age group.
In the veterans´ doubles final of above-35 age group, Manoj Rana and Shreeram Magar teamed up to beat the pair of Sovitman Shrestha and Chandra Shahi 7-5, 6-1.
